DLL: How to Avoid the Common Problem
If you, like me and millions of others have a laptop running a Windows operating system, then you will rely heavily on DLL to run various programs and keep the computer running smoothly. Hopefully you are not like me and have not suffered errors to the DLL that jeopardise the future of the whole operating system! My computer became unusable and required the help of a laptop repair guru who was able to use his wizardry to fix the problem, allowing me to write this blog today and impart some tips (you could call them life lessons) I have picked up on how to avoid this scourge.
DLL or Dynamic Link Library to Bill Gates’ crew is a group of files that basically keep all of the applications and programs on our laptops running smoothly. There are hundreds of thousands of DLL files and one problem to one file could land you in similar bother to me. My particular error was a system32.dll; this meant big problems with the operating system, and by not being clever enough to avoid it I certainly wasn’t going to become grand technician and try to fix it. In my position getting laptop repairs was definitely the best option. What I did learn though was how these problems are caused and best of all, how they can be avoided.
.DLL errors are usually a result of:
* Deleting or overwriting a DLL file unknowingly
* Computer infected with malware (my problem!)
* Corrupt and missing drivers
* Logical or physical hard disk problems
Avoiding these problems is very straight forward. Never operate your laptop without updated anti-virus and anti-spyware software. Always download software, documents and files from genuine sources and keep your Windows operating system up to date. Using a good registry cleaner to clean out old and outdated DLL files is good practice.
It really is that simple, I just wish I’d have known earlier!
